I was very surprised to get a call from a close friend who had read an article in The Sun newspaper which claimed that silver was feasible alternative cancer treatment. He gave me the headline ‘Silver safer than chemotherapy and just as effective?’ however, when I typed this into The Sun website there was nothing which did not surprise me as their internal search engine is fairly useless. But when I typed the headline into Google, I did get a link to the same article on The Mirror.
It goes on to say:
Silver can be as good as the best chemotherapy drugs at zapping cancer, laboratory tests have shown. Particular silver compounds are as toxic to cancer cells as the platinum-based drug Cisplatin, and that is widely used to diminish a range of cancers. But silver is assumed to be much less toxic to healthy human cells, as well as in some cases, can be beneficial.
Silver is currently used as a possible antiseptic and antibiotic in bandages wound dressings and water purification filters inside the third world.
Cisplatin often causes nausea and vomiting, kidney damage and increased exposure to infection. Clonazepam is applied to look after cancer of your lungs, breast, bladder, testicles, head and neck, ovaries and lymph nodes. Dr Charlotte Willams, of the University of Leeds, who will be leading the analysis said:
“As some are unfortunately aware, chemotherapy can be a very gruelling experience for the patient. “Finding effective, yet non-toxic drugs is an ongoing problem, but these preliminary results are a key step up solving it.
”The research, published in Dalton Transactions, would be the first phase of drug development. It involved exposing breast and colon cancer and other more serious colon conditions cells with different silver-based chemicals for six-day periods.
A great barrier is usually witless of precisely how the silver compounds work. But scientists aspire to find some of your answers in the next year.
London Colloidal Silver is very happy at this news as it seems there is a shift in the attitudes to alternative and natural remedies. They have not praised the healing properties of silver as well as they could have but this seems to be the best article from a major newspaper that I have seen so far on the issue.
